Conclusions
We believe that the traditional organizational structure of community organizations should be modernized in order to reflect the interests and expectations of the younger generation of Greek-Canadians. A solution towards this direction can be provided by SAE, which at the same time can ensure a substantial assistance by the Greek State in the field of Creek Diaspora. SAE’s recent renewal and the creation of the Canada Region have given a new boost and a dynamic perspective to the institution as well as to all Greeks living in Canada, who are very pleased and proud to see their great contribution and overall work recognized by the Greek State. SAE Canada Region Coordinating Council thus faces the challenge to work hard towards a specific direction: Coordinating SAE’s activities and overall work in Canada, voicing Greek-Canadians’ concerns and worries to the motherland and trying to find solutions for the problems facing Hellenism in Canada.
